"handle with care!"

we are a fragile package.
we have gone through much.
we shatter and break easily.
be careful of how you touch
you might break another 'one'.
there are many of the crew,
but that doesn't mean
you can hurt each one of us.
we protect one another
by putting many barriers up.
but the barriers shatter easily
and may take years to rebuild.
the barriers help to protect
but are often broken
by the slightest touch.
so, if you want to be our friend,
be careful of the package
and how you touch each one of us.
and remember to ... "handle with care!"
