the crew

there is more to me than what you see
there are many, many parts of me.
there is me, diana,
i am the host body.
ben is the head guy
he helps me out during rough times.
there are maggie and davie
and they are two of the youngest.
betty-anne is the farm girl
she has taken the blame of the abuse
shara is the special one
for she has learned to write differently.
lois loves being social able
she enjoys movies and talking.
samulson is the organizer
he loves things neat and tidy.
susan doesn't write, but prints,
and is the artist of the bunch.
then there is katie,
she is quiet and holds the emotions.
these are the ones i know
but i know there are more,
they are hiding, afraid to show.
they will come in times
when they feel they're safe,
for they had to protect me
when the times were the hardest.
all of them are a part of me,
and i will accept them
for interrupting my life to protect me.
there is more to me
than meets the eye,
don't judge a person
until you know what underlies.
